GPS devices have become very popular in the last few years. GPS (an acronym for Global Positioning System) uses a network of orbiting satellites that can combine information and then send a signal to a GPS receiver telling it where it is located on the planet. As the technology get smaller and less expensive, GPS tracking becomes available for more and more applications, such as keeping track of children and pets. Most cell phones now come with a built in GPS tracking device.
